Named Accountable GPs

From 1st April 2015 onward GP Practices were required, under the General Medical Services (GMS) contract, to allocate a named accountable GP to all patients, including children.

All patients at Springfenisco Healthlink patients have been allocated to Dr A K GUPTA at Springfield surgery and Dr N GUPTA at Feniscowles surgery.
It is important that you are aware that this is purely an administrative exercise and does not change the way in which we operate or affect your ability to make an appointment or speak with any of the GPs in the practice.

Named GPs are responsible for patients’ overall care at the practice, however in the event that a patient expresses a wish to change their named GP we are happy to accommodate this request and would ask that you contact a member of our Reception Team who will be happy to arrange this for you.

All new patients registering with the practice will be allocated within 21 days of registration.
Please note: If you were registered with us before 1st April 2015 and were aged over 75 years or took part in the Avoiding Unplanned Emergency Admissions service provision you will have already been allocated a named accountable GP and notified – this named GP will remain the same and will not change.

Team Work

We operate in an increasingly technological age with new systems, increased demand and new ways of working.
Whilst we embrace these changes and improvements, we continue to focus on making sure that we do not lose sight of the importance of people.
Our patients are the focus of our attention. To the best of our ability, we are here to provide you with a high standard of patient care and services.
We know that sometimes “pills and treatments” can be required, but we also understand the power of a smile and respect for all!

Equality and Diversity

The practice and its staff will not discriminate on grounds of gender, marital status, race, ethnic origin, colour, nationality, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, religion or age.

ZERO TOLERANCE Policy

The NHS operates a zero tolerance policy with regard to violence and abuse and the practice has the right to remove violent patients from the list with immediate effect in order to safeguard practice staff, patients and other persons.

Violence in this context includes actual or threatened physical violence or verbal abuse which leads to fear for a person’s safety. In this situation we will notify the patient in writing of their removal from the list and record in the patient’s medical records the fact of the removal and the circumstances leading to it.

Please also be aware that repeatedly not attending booked appointments or repeated instances of being late may also lead to removal from the practice register.
